1. What we collect
When you connect your YouTube channel, we collect:
- Your YouTube channel name, thumbnail, and subscriber count
- Public video metadata (title, description, view counts)
- Public YouTube comments from your videos
- Your account email address (via Google OAuth)
We do not collect private messages, your Google password, payment details (unless you subscribe), or any data from channels you do not own.
2. How we use your data
We use collected data exclusively to:
- Detect and surface audience questions from your comment sections
- Group questions into topic clusters for content planning
- Generate content suggestions based on audience demand signals
- Display sync history and analytics within your dashboard
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
3. YouTube API access
Our application uses the YouTube Data API v3 with read-only access via the youtube.force-ssl OAuth scope. This scope allows us to read public channel data, video metadata, and comment threads. We do not upload videos, post comments, modify playlists, or take any write action on your account.
You can revoke our access at any time through your Google Account permissions page.
4. Data storage and security
All data is stored in a Supabase PostgreSQL database with Row Level Security (RLS) enforced — meaning your data is cryptographically isolated from other users. Access tokens are stored encrypted.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Disconnect your YouTube channel at any time
- Clear all synced comments and questions from our database
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Request a copy of your data
All of these actions are available from your account settings, or by contacting support.
